For over twenty years, the AFI Associates has been providing human and financial resources to further the mission of the American Film Institute.

AFI trains the next generation of filmmakers at its world-renowned Conservatory, maintains America's film heritage though the AFI Catalog of Feature Films and explores new digital technologies in entertainment and education through the AFI Digital Content Lab and K-12 Screen Education Center. The Associates, as they're called, have been dedicated to supporting these objectives.
Under the leadership of its Board of Governors, the Associates has raised $4.5 million since 1984, providing
continuous funding for many projects, including the Directing Workshop for
Women, and enhancement of the Louis B. Mayer Library and Mark Goodson
Screening Room.
